MyoVision was started by David Marcarian, MA, a NASA-trained Surface EMG researcher. Mr. Marcarian completed a Master's degree specializing in human psychophysiology and ergonomics at NASA, In 1986, Mr. Marcarian was awarded a prestigious $450,000.00 grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to develop an electrophysiological computer-based device for measuring muscle activity, skin temperature and skin resistance.

In 1989, Mr. Marcarian founded Precision Biometrics, Inc. for the purpose of providing health care professionals with a high quality, low cost device for electrophysiological measurements. The company has provided health care professionals and researchers alike with Surface EMG equipment for the past 18 years.
